FAQs about Photo Format Submission Guidelines

What are the image formatting requirements?
In order for photos to look sharp in a printed book, all submissions must be a high-quality JPEG format (sometimes shown as .jpg or .jpeg). Photos must be approximately 3.2 megapixels—with a minimum size of 2000x1500 pixels.

Note: We are planning to print the selected images at 300 dots per inch.

We will not consider any photos at a lower resolution than specified above.

Can I submit black and white photos?
Both color and black and white photos are acceptable, as long as they are high-resolution JPEGs that meet the requirements specified above.

Can I send you a printed photo instead of a digital one?
No. We only accept digital photos. If you have access to a scanner, however, you can convert it to a digital photo. The same image formatting requirements apply.
